About Us

What is the Illinois College to Career Exploration (ICCE) event?

Illinois College to Career Exploration (ICCE) welcomes high school Juniors! This event encourages students to attend college right here in Illinois at one of our richly diverse, remarkable public universities.

ICCE is hosted by the University of Illinois System (Urbana, Chicago, Springfield), together with Chicago State University, Eastern Illinois University, Governors State University, Illinois State University, Northeastern Illinois University, Northern Illinois University, the Southern Illinois University System, (Carbondale, Edwardsville), and Western Illinois University.

ICCE features:

  • An admissions college fair with the 12 Illinois public universities
  • A panel discussion on the college choice process, featuring current students and recent graduates
  • A breakout session on financial aid and paying for college, presented by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission
  • The opportunity to talk with representatives from specific degree programs that lead directly to growing careers! (Illinois Model Programs of Study)
  • Attendees receive a waiver of admission application fees from Illinois' 12 state universities. With this waiver, students can apply for free to any, or all, of our great public universities.
