Through The U of I System Transfer Guarantee, transferring is easier than you think!
Students transferring from an Illinois community college are guaranteed admission into any of the University of Illinois System locations through The U of I Transfer Guarantee if they meet requirements. Please explore below to find out more!
To participate in The U of I System Transfer Guarantee, students need to meet all of the following requirements (effective Fall 2025):
Students who complete all requirements listed above are guaranteed admission to the university, not guaranteed admission to a specific college or major. Students must complete the institution’s transfer admissions application during the appropriate filing period for consideration. The student must be pursuing their first bachelor's degree.

The U of I System Transfer Guarantee is managed by the U of I System with collaboration from the three universities located in Urbana-Champaign, Chicago, and Springfield.
